Al Murray’s Road To Berlin

About The Programme

Al Murray swaps his comedy stage persona the Pub Landlord for his true self – the Oxford history graduate with a passion for the past.

Driving a genuine 1944 British Jeep, Al begins this journey of investigation and discovery on the D-Day invasion beaches of June 1944, and finishes in the heart of Berlin where the Second World War reached its bloody climax in April 1945.

Along the way, his task is to tell the story of the greatest military campaign in history – the battle to beat Hitler.
